Parker Aerospace Announces Beneficial Changes to Its Structure &  New Member to Its Leadership Team

Operating business to align more strategically, allowing for better multi-divisional collaboration on systems and better support to customers

Steve Pitts named general manager of Stratoflex Products Division


FARNBOROUGH, ENGLAND, July 14, 2014 – Parker Aerospace has changed its organizational reporting structure to provide more strategic business and technology alignment for its customers. In addition, the company has recently added a new member to its leadership team.  

            Benefits of the reorganization. The new structure aligns Parker Aerospace’s business more tactically around its division business and technology synergies, allowing for better multi-division collaboration on engine systems, airframe fuel systems, and airframe fluid power systems, while better supporting key customers.

            Under the new structure, Group Vice President of Operations Greg Crowe is now responsible for Parker Aerospace’s Fluid Systems, Gas Turbine Fuel Systems, and Stratoflex Products Divisions. 

Group Vice President of Operations Andy Weeks has responsibility for Parker Aerospace’s Aircraft Wheel & Brake, Control Systems, and Hydraulic Systems Divisions.

New general manager. Steve Pitts has been named the general manager of Parker Aerospace's Stratoflex Products Division, headquartered in Fort Worth, Texas. In this role, he is responsible for all financial and operational aspects of the division in its locations in Fort Worth and Mansfield, Texas; Camarillo, California; Jacksonville, Florida; and Monterrey, Mexico. 

Pitts joined Parker in 2012 as the business unit leader for the military original equipment manufacture and aftermarket segments for the company’s Control Systems Division. In this role he was responsible for profit and loss, business strategy, sales, program management, operations, and executive customer relationships.

Prior to joining Parker, Pitts held a number of key leadership roles at Honeywell International, including vice president for the Boeing business segment, vice president of the U.S. Air Force business segment, general manager for the Commercial Aerospace Navigation Products Division, director of engineering, and director of product management.

Pitts holds a bachelor of science degree in electrical engineering from Valparaiso University in Indiana, and a master of business administration degree from the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul, Minnesota.  He has also achieved Six Sigma certification.
